Title: Hoffman Princeton Reverb Build
Post by: sclinchy on February 28, 2015, 04:47:57 pm
About to start a Princeton reverb, my second build.  I'v done a 5F2-A and I'm hoping to re-use both the power and output transformers for the Princeton.  I used transformers from Allen Amps (sorry, Doug), the T011C output transformer and the TP25 power transformer.

Specs at http://www.allenamps.com/parts.php#transformers (http://www.allenamps.com/parts.php#transformers)

Any reason to think that these wouldn't work or anything I'd need to do differently if I use these?

Thanks, guys!

PT is OK but you can't use that OT.

The 5F2 (Tweed-era) Princeton is a single ended (single output tube) amp resembling a Champ much more than a dual-6V6 silverface or blackface Princeton or Princeton Reverb. Your present OT is for a single output tube, you are looking to build a 2-tube output section. No go.
