Title: Tube substitute
Post by: kagliostro on March 12, 2015, 11:38:31 am
The original schematic used a 6j6 tube as paraphase PI

my friend buid a 9 pin version of the amp using a 12ay7 as substitute for the 6j6 tube (near same gain)

I'm planning to build my version of the amp and I would like to know

if I can use 6N2P tube (that is close to 12ax7) as substitute for the 6j6 PI

whithout changes on the component values

Many Thanks

K
