Today I picked up a free Hammond M111 in mostly working condition (no reverb)
I normally feel qualms about dismantling Hammonds but I have a friend who wants the top half so it could work out well
I was looking at the Main amp (looks the same as a M3 power amp) and as it's a good 20.5" long and already sports a pair of 6V6s, it looks like a pretty good candidate for a full deluxe reverb, or at the very least a one channel deluxe reverb (with the reverb and a 6G11 tremelo)
Anyone every converted one of these into an ab763 deluxe reverb before??
Also has the cool reverb amp with the ECl86s, cute as a button. The only annoyance is that one of the power ECL86s looks like it's run out of getter flash and just last december I sold a half dozen NIB Telefunken ECL86! THey still had the plastic on the boxes fercryingoutloud,! Oh well such is life, one can't keep everything, especially when you live in a two room 400 square foot apartment!

Nice!
I agree, I have a tough time busting up organs even if they are cruddy old ones that will never be acceptable instruments. Tone wheel Hammonds, that's one thing. I don't even like breaking up old Conns. Though I know perfectly well, the next guy won't hesitate.
Was gonna say, "wasn't there a fairly lengthy thread about a Hammond rebuild---but I see it's your thread!"

Seems to me like it would be tight, but doable, getting the parts board *and* a row of pots on the front panel. The chassis just a bit uncomfortably narrow, but I am sure it could be done.

Maybe I'll change my profile name to 'fairly lengthy' :icon_biggrin:
Those were AO-43 chassis's. they're about 16" long
This one is 20.5"... really fairly lengthy!!!!!
