This morning I was to a radio amateur flea market and I got on the cheap a new clone chassis
the vendor told me it is for a Marshall 800, but I don't know if it correspond exactly to an official version of the 800 chassis and at which one
measures are near 640mm x 170mm x 63mm + 155mm x 20mm for the attacks - galvanized steel 15/10mm
The switch holes are round and are in the place where usually you read 800 on the faceplate - on the back there is only one hole
for the impedance selector or line selector, not both
this is the chassis

Hi K, It's probably a one chassis fits all.
It seems to have too many holes, so this may be good to give you options for lots of builds and cover the unused holes.
So don't hold back and build something AWSOME. :icon_biggrin:

Marshall 1959 Super Lead
Ohhh YESSSS !!!!

it has one less hole on the back (for line selector I suppose) and one more hole for a fourth preamp tube
Many Thanks Pete :m2

I've find on the network prices around 100$ for that chassis, so my investment of 20€ was a good investment :icon_biggrin:

It is identical to my JMP 100W master volume model except my power cord is permanently mounted and I have rocker switches. The round hole on the back is for speaker impedance.
-
on the JMP 100W master volume photo I've find the switch holes are squared, my chassis has rounded holes like the 1959 Super Lead 100W
However, 2deaf, Thanks for the answer

Someone has a proven layout for the 1959 Super Lead or better for the 1959T (there is the hole for the oscillator tube) ?

Hi K, NAR, a QUAD of 6v6 into a plexi and a one tube reverb.

Interesting idea TIMBO

They made master volume JMP's with toggle switches, but they only had two inputs. The actual circuit doesn't matter as long as it used six knobs and I think they called them all "Super Lead", didn't they? I just meant that your chassis is a JMP and not an 800.

Oh, now I understand
Thanks

I've find this layout but I'm not sure about the connections on the 2M Speed Pot
Which is your opinion ?

Nice find. Kinda like THE classic Marshall, are you going to do it, I'd like to watch.
You could get creative with using two of the guitar inputs as mix pots and make a " jump panel mixer " design like the Hoffman 6V6 input stage http://el34world.com/Hoffman/files/Hoffman_Plexi_6V6-V2.pdf (http://el34world.com/Hoffman/files/Hoffman_Plexi_6V6-V2.pdf)

At the moment I'm around at one other pair of projects, but as I was lucky with the purchase of this chassis, I'm collecting info about how to use
it at best, and a 1959T seems the project for which the chassis was planned, so to find a proven layout is a must

You can find layouts on Metroamp forum
-
Looks like a generic 100 watt type chassis

Many Thanks to All

Except your chassis only has 6 potentiometer holes in front and tremolo marshall needs 8, but you could sacrifice two input holes for the potentiometers.
