6V6 is from the dawn of time, so it has many children.

EL84 is late 1950s, has far fewer children. Most of these are Video Amps, lower power higher gain.

Why do you care how many pins it has?

Perhaps what Franco is asking is: "Is there an octal, loctal or B7G based valve which has the same characteristics as an EL84?"

@ Darryl That is exactly what I would like to know

two reasons

1) The more relevant reason: mere curiosity and desire for knowledge

2) The very less relevant reason: may be it will be useful in some circumstances
