Title: LED buzzing
Post by: JJones on April 18, 2015, 06:04:45 pm
I may be in over my head, but it's my first build.

I'm trying to use relay channel switching with Doug's set-up.  The only thing wired up so far is the relay's and power supply.

When using the switch, the LED's are fine.  One side lights the other is off. Switch engaged the other lights and the first is out.  When I plug a guitar cord into the footswitch jack and jump from tip to sleve, it changes the lights, but the LED that is on buzzes.  Loud...  May be the relay's.  I'm thinking I have something wired wrong in the footswitch jack...

Anyone have an idea for a newby?

here's the link I have for dougs relay config's, there might be others, not sure.  Anyway, the top 2 say in the notes below the diagrams not enough volts to run leds and relays.  leds don't hum but relays do, wrong volts would make them hum.  which schematic are you working from, that might help.  Not sure why you short tip and ring so a schematic or link would help.
