Buenos días !
I have recently overhauled a Fender bassman amplifier with new caps all the way. I can't get rid of the standby switch pop,. I've tried putting a .068 / 600V accross the s/b switch, or either sides to gnd, without results.
Would grid stoppers on the power tubes cure the problem ?
Thanks
Colas

Did you try another switch?

even louder with other new switch, but it was a good thing to try !

Hi Colas, I have used 150k/3w resistor across the switch, this allows a little voltage to the filter caps and reduces the inrush that causes the pop.

Dumb question, with the amps volume on 0?
