Title: Anyone know what kind of transformer this is?
Post by: sunset01 on April 29, 2015, 05:26:09 pm
Hello,
I inherited an old Holmes solid state guitar amp from the seventies that I'm trying to rebuild. The output transformer
has a few markings on it:       "EJ-205
                                              EJA  682    80     83"

Can't seem to find anything on it. Anyone know what this transformer is?

Thanks,

RL

I thought that by the '70s all OTs had disappeared from SS amps. Are you sure it's from the '70s? Are you sure it's an OT?

Sluckey,
Thanks for replaying. No, I'm not sure at all what type it is. Just a noob looking up parts still. The second letter has worn off and part of the third, but I could see it being "EIA 682". I just read about Electrical Windings/TMI having that EIA.
