I would like to build a fender twin,the difference between my build and the original I have are 2 things.#1i want to build just a head,want an exact duplicate of the twin in just a tube amp head. 2#i want to build it at half power so instead of using 4 6l6 tubes in the out put stage I only want to use 2.looking for a chassis and parts that im sure I can get from Hoffman.does any one have or know of a schematic for this build that is avail.

Which twin? Some twins already come with only two output tubes. Just use the appropriate twin schematic for the model of your choice. You would simply omit two of the output tubes and four resistors. You would need appropriate transformers.

I would bet you could buy a used showman reverb head for substantially less than what it would cost you in parts. To wit:
Cabinet $140.
Tolexed: $15
Corners, handle, straps: $25
Chassis $50
16 pots @ $2.50 = $40
15 knobs @ $1 = $15
Parts board & parts: $200 (assy labor = free)
tubes @ $10 for 6L6 * 4 + $6 for 12AX7 = $76
Power trans, output trans, choke $150 (very low)
6 * jacks @ $1.50 = $10
misc hardware: $10
tube shields @ $1 = 6
incoming freight on all that stuff $35.
Electrolytic caps $35 (very low if you use axials)
reverb can $25
total: $832.
And I am leaving out 8 tube sockets ($2-3 each) and some power resistors and diodes and etc; etc;
You should be able to find any number of dual showman heads for $700, all day long. In good shape, without looking very hard. Without 25+ hours of work and 10 hours of hunting down parts from all over.
And then if you want to sell it, you could lose $75 and it would be gone. I can't see building such a thing, especially if you want an "exact" dupe....which is sort of a tough call because as Sluckey said, there are perhaps 7 different models.

Selling my showman dual reverb. I am the third owner ever, and had it for 4 years now. I'm getting rid of it to get something a bit smaller, specifically, a fender deville. This amp sounds beautiful, the reverbs and tremolo still work, but damn the reverbs sound amazing, but i never used it because I have always used the effect pedals. I took great care of it, it has always stayed at my rehearsal studio, only to be used in there sometimes and for recording, not too much for shows. anyway give me a text, email, or call, what ever works for you.
The AMP - is an all tube fender vintage amp head, with tremolo and reverbs. its 100W, it's super loud, especially if you want to use the cleans, super bright cleans. I'm not sure what year it's from, but from doing my research i think it's from the late 1960's early 1970's.

Doesn't the Showman have 6L6 x4? Wouldn't this essentially be a Super Reverb with a solid state rectifier?

Yes, Showman amps were
2x6L6's 4x6L6's with SS rectifier, Super Reverb amps were 2x6L6's with tube rectifier.
Edit; Sorry I typed 2 instead of 4, the 1st amp I owned was a BF DS.

When the OP mentioned "a Twin" it's not particularly known (by me, at least) whether he means a Tweed Twin, a white 6G-whatever "twin" or a blackface/silverface AB763 "Twin Reverb" or some later "70's" Twin Reverb. I guess that would have to be clarified to provide a better answer than I did.

Every Showman schem I can find is a 4 6L6 amp. Am I missing one somewhere? I'm genuinely curious; not being a smart-ass.

You're right: Showman = 4 x 6L6. I believe "Dual Showman" = 2 x 15" spkrs. Some Showman amps had only 1 x 15" spkr.

Yes, DS's had 2x15" JBL's because that surf guitar player, I forget his name, kept blowing up his speakers and sending the cabs back to Leo. So Leo went with 2x15" JBL's and that stopped the blow ups.
