Title: Tree as a tower support

I have a lot of tall popular in my back yard

If I cut one at 30 feet can I attach a free standing tower to it
now I know the tree is dead now I just wonder how long the roots will hold


looks like I lost one tower

I don't know, how big/how much will it weigh? 30' in the air?

Poplar is a soft wood.

If the tree is already dead then it's already decomposing it's root structure.

For what?

For how long?

If you want a 100' tower with a 40' antenna on it, stand back in the next wind storm.

If you just wanna fly a flag, and won't cry if it falls down in a few years, go for it.
