Title: Orange 120 1974
Post by: plexi50 on July 11, 2015, 09:28:03 am
I had never had one of these original 1974 OR120 amps come in before.
This one has been sitting and unused in it's original road case since 1979.
Mint and a blessing to see.

Let me clean up my drool.

That is totally f--n rad.

Does it need serviced or is it yours?

I think I would have to plug in for just a little while.
Regardless, great to see that amps of that age can be found in that condition.
thanks for sharing

The caps weren't swelled out so i slowly brought it up on my variac. The first 5 minutes at full wall voltage was exciting. No hum,not even scratchy pots. It is a mean machine. Headroom city. Not mine. But they are while they are here anyways.
You should see the 412 cab in it's road case as well from what i hear. I did not get a chance to see it. But i will get some pic's of it.
