Title: Cordovox cl-10....
Post by: stratavox on August 14, 2015, 05:25:06 pm
...dead. Going to open it up next week, but, in advance of that, anyone have any experience?  No obvious fuse...the various YouTube vids look (and sound) cool....and, as it was free, the price was right....

It's basically a Leslie, two speed, non-powered. Smaller than a Vibrotone, 8" speaker. On-off and trem/ chorale switch. Turns out the switching is done via three mercury switches, which are working, it was just the motor needing lubed...sounds really cool, and I'm prolly going to use Sluckey's method of construction to chenge the 8 to at least a 10, maybe a 12. Free, so the price was right...

Yes, they were part of the package...I came across an empty 2x12 and tone-generator cab too, so I now have lots of Cordovox cabs....in case they become Clapton or Beck's "go to" brand...; )

As I recall they were full of nice tubes, caps, & other parts to scavenge if ever parted out.
