Title: Did I wire this efx loop right?

I wired it like this but I can't remember if the two jacks had to be connected somehow.

Add the violet wire if you want signal to pass thru if nothing is plugged into the jacks.

Does the purple wire make the preamp signal pass through without activating the jacks?

I would probably use a yellow wire.
