I have been trying to figure out which speakers to use in my Hoffman AB763 Super Reverb and made an audio/video recording to help me decide and figured it might be useful for others as well. If interested, I am comparing the Weber 10A150, 10A125, 10F150 and 10F125 in pairs here:

Obviously, this is meant mainly as a relative reference between the various pairs of speakers - they would probably sound very different if I EQ'd the amp differently, used a different amp, guitar, etc.

Cool, thanks..liked the 150's in pairs A & F's 1st, then 150F with 125A but all 4 sounded great, seemed to cover all freq's...is that what you settled on, 1 of each?

Well, to be honest, I have not been able to make up my mind as to which two I would use! I don't think I would go with 4 of the 150s (e.g. 2x 10A150 and 2x 10F150) as I suspect it might be a bit boomy, but I would definitely have at least two of the 150's as they seem to add a good amount of low end that I don't think you'd get with four of the 125's. Right now, I do agree that all four speakers sound pretty good combined, so I might just stick with that. I am going to be building a 5F6-A Bassman amp, and I am curious if they'd all sound good on that amp as well. I'll have to buy 4 more speakers, and unless I get one of each again, I'll probably get one pair of the 150's and one pair of the 125's, but I don't know whether it would be the A's or the F's....tough decisions!
