Title: New Princeton Build with Speaker Switching
Post by: Rubrburnr on October 28, 2015, 08:55:04 pm
Hey All!!  I completed the tweed build and absolutely love it.  Looks and sounds awesome!!  Thanks for everybody's help on that!!

On to my next build.  I want to build a Princeton style amp with an MP3 hardwired into the chassis (piggybacked into the normal input with correct set of resistors - which would be??).  Since the MP3 will be on there as an option, I was curious to see if I can add a separate speaker for when I play the MP3.  Would that be a simple pole switch?  Right now I have a 4 ohm speaker for a 4 ohm NOS771 OT.

Ideal scenario:
Playing guitar through the amp/guitar speaker.  Get tired of playing, want to listen to some songs.  Plug in MP3, flip switch (going from guitar speaker to other speaker).  Listen away...

The other speaker would be a Pioneer 250w 4 ohm car audio speaker.  Neither speaker will be running at the same time, it'll be one or the other.

and....go.
