The 56K resistors on the two Screen Caps (100 watt SuperLead) are the necessary?

They are necessary to insure that both series cap share the total voltage--rather than one cap taking the full B+ while the other remains uncharged.

I'm sure you could get away with some plain old 1/2 watt 220K resistors while you wait for the correct parts.

How bout two 5 watt 100K in parallel (each)?

 That works.

I don't think the value is critical. You could just use two 100K 5 watters -- no real need to parallel them to 50K.
