Title: 6G15 Question Problem
Post by: bjsweek on November 24, 2015, 06:41:41 pm
I have put together my own chassis design for a 6G15.. I am afraid I may have mounted the power transformer on the wrong end of the turret board. If the AC leads traverse the turret board will it create noise in the circuit? Have I created other problems with this layout?

Yes, having the high voltage a.c. running past the entire circuit to get to the left side will likely introduce hum, especially running by the jacks.

Also, you seem to have a filter cap lug right underneath a jack. The cap itself has a thickness which may result in the cap lead being high enough at that lug to short to the jack after installation.
