Spikey Treble drives me crazy these days. I think that's why I find myself playing on my LP lately instead of my normal tele or strat.
And your right about the subtle nuances in tone between them, I am having more and more trouble hearing the difference. I'm sure it's an old age thing with me.
In the morning I can jam on an amp/guitar and it will sound bright to me and latter in the day jam on the same guitar/amp/settings and it sound mellower. My hearing perception changes through the day.
My friend that gave me the speaker ask me how I liked it and I told him it sounds good sometimes and bad the other. Not sure he appreciated that, but it was the truth. Not the speaker fault though. Platefire
