I've had a bit of fun recently trying to put together a "fun" little bass rig for home/jam use...basically I love retro bass sounds, and I play an SG bass converted to EB3-ish specs with flats on. I got hold of an old (I'm guessing late 60s/early 70s) AC50 clone chassis recently, which I've resurrected electrically. I've got a 12" SICA neo speaker, and I have the rudimentary rig running with the speaker mounted in the remains of a T60 cab (backless). Ideally I now want to find a can maker who'll make a head cab, and a bass speaker cab for me...but this is probing hard in the UK at the moment. I don't really have the facilities to make my own currently. I'm thinking a sort of mini Vox Foundation ish stack sound-wise...perhaps in a Marshall Bluesbreaker livery?!
Anyone know of any folks/places to try for making the cabs...or at least a pre-made bass speaker cab I can load the SICA in, and maybe I'll just settle for getting a custom head cab only?!
