Title: Snow in North Carolina
Post by: tubenit on January 22, 2016, 08:28:12 am: Getting LOTS of cardinals & gold finch. Also some titmouse, red house finch, red wing blackbirds, Carolina chickadee, a bluejay, a couple of doves, house wren, and others .................. including squirrels feeding below the feeder.

I have had as many as 9 male red cardinals on my feeders at a time in the last few weeks.

Sure is fun watching them!

Of course, if something goes down, then it's perfectly safe. Strong wind, down here on the lake level (Hyco). Just threw a bunch of old loaf bread out the back of our shop, and the birds flew down, in squadons.

Roads are still passable, but it's starting to sleet. Freezing rain for tonight and tomorrow, ending sometime after midnight on Saturday. Sunday, in the 40's (DegF).

Thing of it is there were a bunch more on and under the birdfeeders!
