Title: Is anyone familiar with these capacitors?
Post by: Mike_J on January 22, 2016, 11:40:14 am
I was looking through my capacitor cabinet for caps I can use in my AB763 - 1 project.  I came across the caps pictured below and am not sure where I got them.  I think they were pulled from a junked Super Reverb chassis from 1971 I purchased many years ago but I am not sure.

Thanks
Mike

Cannot tell if they are blue or black.  In the early 70, Fender Super Reverbs had blue blobs, but they are not hard feeling.  Sort of rubbery when squeezed.  I always leave them if they are good.

I have some just like that, that came out of my junk gear purchases.
They are hard shelled and every one I've tried in a circuit so far, has been good.   :icon_biggrin:

Blue-dipped ITW caps were used in silverface Fender amps as coupling caps.
