Title: Bad Opto on Ampeg G-S-12-R Reverb Rocket
Post by: nateflanigan on February 07, 2016, 06:04:28 pm
Hello, I'm tuning up a vintage Ampeg G-S-12-R Reverb Rocket.  Aside from the usual maintenance the tremolo doesn't work.  I suspect the optoisolator has gone bad.  As with all things from this era of ampeg, it's a totally funky looking part.  Would I be able to replace this with the standard fender roach?

Oh, cool!  That seems like the right track.
