Title: Looking to get into Visio for Layout diagrams
Post by: goldstache on February 29, 2016, 06:48:22 pm
Can someone school me on Visio?
For starters, is there a free trial version and where can I get a zip of all the symbols?
Thanks

I do not know about visio, but I would recommend you some other, more pro, and electronic related software like Altium, Eagle, or less complicated, and without simulation, DipTrace.
Personally, I am using DipTrace, and there is a freeware version
DipTrace 3.0 Freeware
(Windows)All features and libraries, 300 pins and 2 signal layers, non-profit use only

I know that LibreOffice has an app that will open Visio files, but I haven't tried to see if it will edit or allow creation of them.
