Title: Wiring power transformer 5e3
Post by: Oddvar on April 24, 2016, 05:34:15 am
HI.

I am near finishing a 5e3 build, put I am a bit uncertain on how to connect the PT to the mains input.  I am using the Ceriatone layoy and a Hammond 290BEX.  Could anyone here advice me on how to hookup the transformer to the mains?  The hammond has just the white/black inputs, and only one yellow/red on the secondary side with 0v.

One of the mains 240v are fairly ok to connect, but the other goes to 0v on the primary side, but there isn't one.  Any help?

I edited the Ceriatone layout to show your 290BXE transformer.

Tie the two wires on the right side of the switch together. IOW the PT white wire will connect to one side of the mains.
