Title: 5f1 kit distortion, low volume having problem with kit build

I have checked all the wiring switched out the tubes and cannot figure out what is wrong. When I turn the volume control up I hit a spot at about 75% of the way up where a get a sort of squealing sound then no output after that. below that point I have output but distorted and very low volume.

 Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

The squeal, *might* be fixable by swapping the OT tranny wires on the input side of the tranny.

The low volume distortion is where you *learn* troubleshooting :icon_biggrin:

Start with fresh eyes, unmolested schematic and layout, a sharp sharpie, chop-stick, and fresh meter batteries.  star at the beginning, verify all wires, connections etc, poke n prod wires, verify voltages, then you will find it, fix it and jam on!
