Title: 18 watt Hoffman Stout into 30 watt?
Post by: Oddvar on April 29, 2016, 11:56:56 am
HI.

Is there a possibility of making the Hoffman Stout 18 watter into 25-30 watt?

Yes. Just add two more EL84s, and get a PT and OT that are designed for an AC-30. Use different cathode resistors for the EL84s. Basically just copy the AC-30 output stage.

Thanks again, is there a layout for that somewhere?

This is the AC30 layout here. Check out the power amp section on the right as Sluckey mentioned.

Just put the layouts for the Stout and AC-30 side by side. The changes you need to make should be obvious.
