Dear amp builders, am have a thought for getting an upgrade in my old VHT pittbull classic.... I literally took out the boards and have it cleaned and took out all those big caps.... Not too sure of what they are for in more technical sense but am eager to have these 20 year old caps replaced... Got few like Mallory 60MFD 500V (black color), blue Sprague 220uf 350VDC and etc...
Have managed to still find the exact replacement for NOS Sprague, but few are hardly found I have no idea what's the best quality capacitors in today's market, my desicion sits on German made F&T and the new vishay Sprague atom
I heard many good about F&T but have no idea about the new vishay Sprague atoms... I am also trying to change the power supply section caps one is a Illinois 6800uF, 35V and few are at 1000uf 35V... Am not sure if nichicon LS series or Panasonic would serve good on the power supply section ?
Could someone share any help here thanks :) as I have many more to talk about changing more components ....
