Title: UX7 Sochet for Visio - I've draw one but I need help
Post by: kagliostro on August 10, 2016, 01:44:34 pm
I'm trying to draw an UX7 socket but I encounter some difficulties

1° I'm not able to have all the socket in white color

2° The mounting holes are different from the originals, not that I can't accept it, but which is the right way to draw such holes ?

3° I'm not able to design correct arc for the top and bottom borders of the sochet, so I used a big circle, how can I draw the correct arc and delete the big circle ?

Many Thanks for anu help and/or council

for 2, to draw that type of hole, I'd think you need to draw two circles and connect them with lines and then group them? But I'm not great with visio, I've only played with it a bit.  Sluckey may know more, he's done a ton in visio.

I played with this for a while but never got any closer than you have. But I can address your second issue...

Don't use an ellipse for the mounting holes. Use a rectangle instead. Make it the size you want. Then select "Line"--->"Line Options"--->Round corners.

Many Many Thanks Steve

Now the holes are perfect !

I've read something about how tho create a close shape, but till now I wasn't able to realize it

so, till now, color problem persist (you can't fill something that isn't close to form a single object)

OK, I hope I can find a solution

Ciao
