Title: class d amplifiers, Has anyone built one?
Post by: drgonzonm on September 07, 2016, 12:23:20 pm
I did search of the topics on this section of the forum and did not see any class d amps.
I was perusing one the Bass on-line magazines, and saw a bunch of small high powered amps.
Then I did a search and found a couple of class D power amps that could be constructed using commonly available parts, just like the stuff one could find at "R-shack".  Now if I could only find one that was still open.

thanks for the feedback

Yes I would plan on creating a hybrid.

I asked the above question after reading a post on this website:

I've bought 2 kits from the link above, one a 2ch tube preamp, Marantz 7 clone, and a 60W class A SS PA amp.  Both were on quality boards, the pre I must have soldered n unsoldered some holes 5 or 6 times and never came close to lifting one.
The only thing I know about class D, that's what our 25Kw RF transmitters operated for MRI
