Title: Hoffman Stout low output?
Post by: Oddvar on September 27, 2016, 09:11:48 am
Hi. Just finished my Hoffman Stout 18w.  It works, but the output is very low, like a 2 watter almost.  Any suggestions on where to look for the problem.  I have gone over it a few times, but it seems ok?

since you have something to compare, start there, your volts vs the original stouts.  I like to start at the power rail, then move to V1, right til the PA.  Since dougs original works fine, find the component value that's off, the wire that's wrong and walla, jamming.  Take your time, this is the fun part, like playing the old game CLUE

Found the mistake.  I had forgotten to link pin 4 and 5 on V2-

Thanks anyway...
