Title: Neon lamp on cathode follower

In Merlins book designing tube preamps second addition . he talks about using a neon lamp for grid cathode arc protection on his cathode follower . But doesnt tell me what kind of neon lamp to use . any ideas.

Merlin says 90v neon lamp (model without in series resistor) or, as alternative a 10k resistor with a diode (1N4007 may be) placed in series

Here you can find the 90v neon lamp (look at (LMP) NE2)
