Title: How do I build a 50 watt Marshall with a Fender style clean channel?
Post by: Planobilly on October 27, 2016, 06:19:14 pm
Hi Guys,

I have had a few request from guys who play Marshalls and need to play clean at moderate/loud volume levels. Well for sure a Marshall won't do that

Has anyone built such a amp? Could that even be done without actually building two amps in one cabinet?

Cheers,

Billy

Its not perfect but I graft in a fender pre amp stage AB763 twin  normal channel. Works great it does the job. Then again which Marshall there,s many circuits .

Hi,

That's sort of what I  had in mind or the clean sound I am looking for. AB763 clean sound like a Vibroverb or a twin.

What Marshall amp did you do this to?

Thanks,

Billy

A London Power Standard would do this quite nicely. You don't need all the bells-and-whistles in the power amp section.
