"Giant 7" X 5" X 5" box of resistors is an incredible value. You get over 1,000 expensive prime color coded resistors! Wattages from 1/4 Watt to 5 Watts and almost all are carbon composition....." Price: $20.00
Looks like someone swept-up behind the resistor rack at some old factory. They probably are virgin vintage, but totally assorted and nobody wants to pay a dweeb to sort them. You might get 900 values you will never use. And personally I think carbon-comp is crap. Went out with the Hudson's splash-oiled engine. But tastes differ.
Electronic Goldmine has been around for many years, a reliable surplus dealer.

Golden Voice 4” Square Speaker $2
http://www.goldmine-elec-products.com/prodinfo.asp?number=G21091 (http://www.goldmine-elec-products.com/prodinfo.asp?number=G21091)
A quad of these ($8) as a micro-Stack might work well with a third-Watt amp for bedroom players.
6" Speaker with Whizzer Cone $5
http://www.goldmine-elec-products.com/prodinfo.asp?number=G21091 (http://www.goldmine-elec-products.com/prodinfo.asp?number=G21091)
Trim the whizzer out, it is a classic cheap small guitar speaker. Probably not good for a whole Watt of heavy distortion, so either mini-amps or 4 or 8 as a "stack" with a mild Champ.
5.25 Dual Cone 20 Watt Speaker $6
http://www.goldmine-elec-products.com/prodinfo.asp?number=G18930 (http://www.goldmine-elec-products.com/prodinfo.asp?number=G18930)
The "20 Watt" rating is very dubious, certainly for overdrive guitar. And the cone is rather flatter than we often favor for guitar voicing; more a cheap car-speaker. But it may be pleasing, for small guitar or as background music for the shop.

I like those clip-lead jumpers. Very handy. You couldn't make them for that price. 4-5 bags of them and you're done, for a while.

Hi,
I ordered a box from them. I have a need for carbon comp. The price was $20.00 but the shipping was an additional $18.00. Perhaps this was a $38.00 dollar roll of the dice. I will let you guys know when they arrive.
Cheers,
Billy

The box arrived today.
At first look they are of normal kinds of values and 5% and 10%. There are two or three pounds of resistors in the box unsorted. I tested a few and they test within range.
This is a good deal if you need carbon comp and have the time to sort them and need a wide assortment.
I will most likely be digging in this box looking for something I don't have some night at 2am....lol
Cheers,
Billy
