Hey all,
this is off topic, but I can't access Ampgarage.com - I get warnings that there is malware on that site. Just curious if anyone knows what's up. It's been like that for me for months. I know some of you have accounts on that page as well, so I thought I'd ask.
Thanks
Mark

It's been like that since June 2015. Supposedly the problem has been corrected, but for unknown reasons, the site owner will not work with Google to have the site removed from the black list.
I visit the site daily using internet explorer. Chrome puts up a red warning page but still offers a way to access the site. It will cost you two extra clicks. You can turn off security if you want to go directly to the site.

Thanks for the update, Sluckey. That helps. I used to go there all the time, but the warning has scared me off. Sounds like it's safe - that's what I was hoping!

I believe it's safe. There's only a small fraction of discussions compared to 1.5 years ago. Still several names that you will recognize though.

Interesting that the discussion has slowed down. It was a good board - and so is this one! :)

That malware warning has almost killed the forum. The interesting part to me is that the owner doesn't seem to care.

Using Opera 41.0 I have no problem to access Ampgarage, if I use my android phone to connect I recive a warning but no other problem to connect
I remember, some time ago, also Opera acted as Sluckey say about Crome, but now no warning or problems

Yes I did, had to ctr, alt, delete started task manager to shut off the internet. Won't go there again.

They had a hack last year. They had another attack this year. There's no evidence any users were harmed. The recent attack *may* have been a disgruntled user filing false reports.
I see activity from people I trust to avoid actual danger. So I accept it is currently safe.
The site owner can ask for the Warning to be lifted. This is a very annoying process. As basically a hobby forum, no income, and activity not-bad despite the Warning, I can understand why this is not a priority in real life.
The forum software is VERY old and no longer getting security updates. They fear changing because some old add-on won't work with new forum software and ALL attachment links may be lost.
