First time builder. I am building two 5F2A's using most of Doug's stuff sans caps and wire. A couple questions I have not been able to find the answers to.
1). Can I use the same 20 gauge non-insulated buss wire on the BACK of the Hoffman's Turret board? The board is elevated off the chassis.
2). Anybody know where to find acceptable 20 ga. cloth covered Wire, Preferably solid core?
I have green 18 GA, from mojotone, also white and black stranded 20ga. The wire from Tubesandmore is crap--not reccomended. Crap in regards to the cloth covered wire they sell--not the store. They are great!
Thanks for the help. As I mentioned I am new to the site and have no idea how these forums work. Hoping I am posting in th correct spot. Any reccomendations are very much appreciated.

I would NOT. Use insulated 20 or 22 gage.

Doug sells 22 ga., plenty heavy enough for what you're doing. It's even just the pushback wire. "Looks, smells and tastes like Fender vintage wire". ;)

In the case of the 5F2A you can do that, but run the wire in a straight line between turrets. Personally, I'd just run that single jumper on top of the board.

Yes, Antique Electronic Supply's cloth-covered wire is complete garbage. However I've bought cloth covered wire from Hoffman and can vouch that it's 100% identical to vintage Fender cloth wire. Highly recommended!!

Another vote for Hoffman's look&taste push-back.
