Im measuring the voltages on a power transformer in a dynakit stereo 70, and in no manuals on this have i seen a 53v line, 735v line, or a 1.3v line. I am measuring 6.8v on 2 lines wich seems pretty normal (for the heaters) but the other are making me question my meter/tranny. The wires are pretty green from corrosion so i put some solder on them (it did wet it even with the corrosion), could the corrosion cause wacky voltage readings? Or should i try another meter?. I want to build a JCM 800 with these trannies (please dont get mad im salvaging a dynakit im just a naive teenager)

yup 2 both. either clean wires with say 400grit sandpaper n alcohol, trim wires back til they are copper, then before you voltage, do ohms and verify each set of windings, then if that works, volts will probably work.

It's not about anyone getting made at you, it's about leaving it as is so someone else can enjoy it AND you get plenty of $$, by selling it, to buy what you need with some $$ left over.
Besides, you might not even like the sound of that OT and PT. They won't break up like/as soon as a set of guitar amp iron.
