Has this been covered before?  Steve?

I don't recall any discussion. IMO the AC-15 is complicated enough. Build a Revibe instead.

Here is the documentation I have about the VOX AC30 Reverb

this layout is a bit customized, but is the only one I've

But .... there is a problem, VOX didn't used a standard Reverb Tank, they used a special unit build using a pair (one for each side) of turntable heads

I don't know if the circuit, as is, can be used with a standard Reverb Tank

Thanks Franco, that's totally bizarre!  I only have one extra cartridge and it's a little dear to get another.  I may have to dumb it down a bit and just do my own design with 2 x EL84 using the proper transformers.  I sure would like to keep the EF86 but I'm using a Princeton Reverb chassis and control layout so it has to conform to that.  Many thanks guys.

as far as I recall, the EF86 version and the 12AX7 versions have the same number of tubes, so you don't need to sacrifice that desire, the circuit only loses a couple extra components for the Pentode but then the 12AX7 has two gain stages so it may actually be net lower parts list for the EF86.
