Title: Power Supply Capacitors
Post by: upnorth2 on December 18, 2016, 03:09:17 pm
This may seem like a foolish question but,

I'm building a combo similar to a Deluxe Reverb, ab763. The chassis (tweed style) I'm using has limited space and I want to use multi can PS caps, 20/20/450 and 20/20/20/450 instead of the the axial caps that are usually used. Anything other than "the cost" that might be an issue? I can't think of any myself, that's why I'm throwing this out there.

Thanks for any info, GW

This would be my choice... quad can JJ 40x20x20x20 @500VDC. Look near the bottom of this page...

40uf on B+ 1, that saves even more room. Thanks.
