Hi guys -
I am starting a new low-watt project, and I am planning on using a Hoffman Stout chassis. The originator of this amp sent me the following layout, but the layout board is about the length of the Stout chassis. I would like to make a shorter board layout and have a nice clean arrangement and order a turret board from Doug. Can anyone help me put this layout into a more compact version for use with the Stout chassis? Thanks so much to anyone who can help me on this.

Got a schematic?
-
Attached is the schematic, sorry about that. The layout attached in the first post has a full tone stack included, so it is slightly different than the schematic.
-
I can see a full ToneStack between V2a and V3a, where is the problem ?

I may have been mistaken, I know that when I communicated with the originator of the schematic, he told me that he was going to include a full tone stack in his layout, so I assumed that one was not included in the original schematic. Anyway, here is his website on the amp. The guy is really helpful if anyone is interested in building any of the amps on his website:

I might be able to fit a stock turret board from amplified parts in the Stout chassis, but would rather have a smaller and more compact board.
-
The turret board from amplified parts is 11.75 inches wide, and the Stout chassis is 12 inches wide. Does anyone have any ideas on how I could reduce the footprint of the board?

Why does it have to fit a stout chassis?

Take a good look at sluckey's 6V6 Plexi

Since you don't need the choke or the tube rectifier you also don't need to put the two dual section caps where he has them.
There should be plenty of room left for what you are trying to accomplish.
Look at his board layout and copy what you can...I would.

You can shrink the board if you put the Tone Stack components on the pot and if you use for the PS filter Cap Can capacitors like those Sluckey
use on the 6V6 Plexi (the link posted by SILVERGUN)

Why does it have to fit a stout chassis?
I have a stout chassis on hand, so I figured I would use it for the project.
-
Be patient and try to draw your layout, I think it is feasible, only require to be patient

Do you have an appropriate PT that will fit the stout chassis?
-
About the PT, if you close the PT hole on the chassis and use a PT that can be mounted on the top you gain some space inside the chassis

Just look at my Stout TMB or Stout layouts
Tube amp parts are not laid out all that different amp to amp

WOW !!!
Veramente Bello

Here's a board layout that will fit Hoffman's Stout chassis...
Wow, thanks a bunch. You made my day!
