Title: Line OT Transformers - Question
Post by: kagliostro on February 04, 2017, 10:31:02 am
I would like to know if there is a standard on the orientation of the laminations on the Line OT Transformers

Are the laminations arranged as in a PP PT or are arranged as in an SE OT ?

or there isn't a standard at all and each manufacturer do as he like more ??

Thanks

Franco

Since these line transformers are not expected to have DCvoltage on them, they would not be gapped like a SE OT.
A gapped transformer would also have to be much larger for a given power level.

I checked the four line transformer models I regularly use as push-pull output transformers. None of them are gapped.
