Title: Hard wired SS rectifier, Tube rectifier filament leads
Post by: Toxophilite on February 04, 2017, 01:34:20 pm
I have dumb question
If I'm replacing the 5U4GB tube rectifier in a build with a pair of diodes (From pins 4 and 6 to 8)
Do I need to retain the 5 V filament wires?? Can I just coil them up out of the way with shrink wrap on the ends?

Perviously I had made plug in replacements so it wasn't a consideration but this time I'm moving all the tube sockets so I won't be keeping the rectifier socket
