Thanks to member pompeiisneaks. No more google alarms. Google flagged this site as malicious over 18 months ago. The problem was fixed pretty quickly but the site remained on Google's bad list for some reason. Well, no more. If you've been afraid to go there or your software refuses, it's now safe again. Members use their same account info.

> Que Esta unpin?
The topic is "pinned" (http://el34world.com/Forum/Themes/default/images/topic/my_normal_post_sticky.gif)so it stays at the top of the forum section, does not scroll-down as new topics are posted. Typically used for major announcements. Sluckey has the magic wand to do that, and un-do that.

thank you kind sir, I was hoping it didn't mean we were going steady or about to break up :icon_biggrin:

But shooter, I so wanted to be pinned to you! :)

You have been cut free! And this thread is now unpinned and will slowly sink into oblivion.

story of my life :icon_biggrin:

Don't fret. Oblivion is not such a bad place. You could become a Tommy Cruise lacky. :icon_biggrin:

IIRC he was a rock climber also!
I do find occasionally thinking, wow, I out lived .......fill in the blank....... :think1:
ah well, this has been the most amazing ride I could never have planned :icon_biggrin:

I had been hesitant to join up over there, but I finally did. Thanks for the heads up!

You should see several familiar names over there, even el34!
-
I was going to ask if tubenit is 10thtx or whatever, because he also always ends posts with :
with respect 10thtx or some such :)

Yes
-
I thought so! :)

Another one... our '12AX7' is 'iknowjohnny' over on TAG.
-
ahh gotcha! Good to know, I've seen a few others that go by the same name, can't recall off the top of my head all of them.

I chose to be exceedingly original and go with.. BetterOffShred... :icon_biggrin:
If it ain't broke, don't fix it

It also appears my work computer wont let me go there, as it says its a malicious site! :sad2:
-
Lol, yeah sounds familiar :P
Tubeswell's another I just saw :) the whole gang's gonna do it :) I do see these two sites as very complementary but also very different. The TAG is pretty focused on TW and Dumble with a lighter touch on the FMV types, and just a generally different kind of larger audience including a lot of amp nerds that aren't builders etc. This one's more focused on the builders of all kinds of any amp you can dream up :P
-
I saw someone posting his SLO-100 clone right away, so I knew it had to be an OK place to frequent! The SloClone forums are pretty dead these days.. That's my next build so I frequent that place quite a bit too. And I definitely see what you mean about it being highly TW and Dumble oriented, but I like a little variety, helps me learn. Thanks again!

You might find a feller goes by Nipper. If so, ignore what he writes, he constantly gets things confused.
-
So you're saying I should give em one for the Nipper? oh wait was that Gipper? :O

The name of the "His Masters Voice" The RCA Dog is Nipper. Maybe it makes more sense now. Naw, I am simply the same there too. I was just going on. I use my name on most forums. Back before Social Media became such a big thing I was told this was not a good idea. Now it is common.
When you register at TAG, the ask you "What is a Fender." This is to stop spambots, but I cannot remember the correct answer. Anyone?
-
I put "A Guitar" .. Seemed ambiguous to me so I went with that. The front of your car?
The guy in the attachment?
-Brett
-
Actually I implemented that, I put in a lot of good options, a guitar, an amp, an amplifier, leo, etc :)

Sure, there are enough good answers to get it. The SloClone filter questions are tougher.. I don't remember what it was, but I had to google it, It was more technical than I was prepared for!
I've been doing some reading over there on stuff I haven't seen here, but honestly I'm kind of smitten with old Fenders and "Ultra High-gain" designs. Maybe I'll look into a train wreck at some point in my life. Seems like a great forum :)

The questions don't generally have to be 'tough' for the spambots to fail, just oddly specific. They don't understand that an amplifier forum talking about 'fender' means the company not the car part. It beats them pretty handily. (But then they pay 10c to someone in india or china to add hosts to a DB by figuring that kind of thing out, and some questions get figured out.)

I'm on TAG... same name.
Thanks for all your hard work getting that going PS! I can see it from work now... :icon_biggrin:

Welcome, it's pretty nice in general, I'm devouring reading content on TW and Dumbles ;)
