Title: speaker cone
Post by: shooter on February 24, 2017, 05:52:57 pm
Spring came early, for a week, so I glued up some wood and sharpened the chisels.

I have a JBL 2445H with broken horn, so for fun :think1:, I'm giving it a shot.  After an hour whacking my hand, I have a great appreciation for those of old!

Very cool Shooter!  I lurk around over at project guitar board and there's a couple of carvers over there that do pretty good work.  I've tried it once or twice without much luck.  I want to see how this cone turns out!

My dad got a bunch of firewood a few years back and there is a bunch of curly stuff in there, not sure what it is, but it would make great knife handles.  Always wanted to get a Damascus blank and make some curly handles.  Maybe I'll give it a whirl ;)  not to deviate from the topic at hand.
You seem to have cool projects going quite frequently!
