Title: OT for 6AQ5 in PP?
Post by: fixitz on April 08, 2017, 10:57:08 pm
I have an old OT that is 11,000CT with 4 ohm output that I would like to use with a pair of 6AQ5's in PP. I realize it is slightly above standard for 6AQ5 / 6V6, does anybody know if it will work or is it a disaster in the making? It's just for a bedroom amp so low output is not a biggie and may actually be preferable.

I'd try it.

With 250V B+ 10Kaa is perfect, 11K will be the same thing

Thanks for the feedback guys, I will give it a shot. Gonna take a shot at a slightly modified Gibson Skylark GA5(T) without the trem.
