Just thought I would pass along a really nice tone I did or a friend this weekend.
TV Jones Doutron Filtertron, routed neck position, forward route which placed the rear of the PUP in the same position as the original. Used the bridge PUP in the neck. The Bridge was a stock Fralin Tele, no overwind, no staggered poles.
The Duotron was 4 conductor, so I was able to split using the S1 switch on the volume. Installed a Wilkerson Bridge plate, 2 brass saddles on 1-4 and a steel on 5 and 6. Swamp Ash Tele with maple neck. The results were astounding, so I thought I would let you guys know. You lose nothing as the in-between tele sound with the neck split is great. Fralin's bridge PUP is authentic.
The gain in the setup is running all of them at once. The grind from the Doutron mixed with frailn pup had a bright humbucker tone and very powerful. Great setup if you like a bigger neck tone on a Telecaster.
