Anyone information and/or schematic of an Davoli Krundal D8066 ?
It’s an PA amp. Looks similar to an D5067.
Power amp is the same as Davoli_1080_UP80.1_(EL34)
Preamp maybe partial similar to BAND_4 but there is no reverb unit build in.
I want tot convert the amp to an guitar amp. Any tips ? An extra FET as entrance ?
I nearly finished the restoration of the power amp. I changed in the circuit the ELL80 for an cheaper tube 6N6π. Spec’s I measured between these tubes in triode are nearly the same !

Sorry, no info about that model :dontknow:
Give a look if it is similar to the 8063P

BTW, I've a BAND 4 and I was thinking to convert to guitar amp using the Dr. Boogie as preamp

This is indeed an great circuit. Do you already now an source for making an good 'empty' PCB?
I'am from the old tube generation and make most of my projects with point to point wires.
This pre-amp is an perfect fit for convert the PA amp I have here.
May I have to start an project here in my town by the fablab. I think / hope they can learn my how to make good PCB's
Filling the PCB with components is easy. That I did several times.

Sorry, I don't
you can try this

There are many versions of the PCB, the one I linked is known to be one of the good ones
you can have issues with ther circuit because of the high gain, some people use all or some less gain fet instead of the J201 (try 2N5457 or J310 or MPF102)
as to drive a tube amp is better if the supply of the fet circuit is higher (if I'm correct 18v is the max you can go)

There are also KIT available on the web (not the same PCB)

Thanks for your comment. This is exactly what I'm looking for. But I doubt a bit now. I just placed an order by an German company. It provided similar also with FETs but slightly less possibilities.
The German kit / PCB is definitely not a misconduct. My be I store that German PCB for later and place an order in UK also ?
I sleep for a night and then I make the decision.

Interesting, can you post the source of the kit ?
Thanks for sharing the info, I hope you will go on with this thread and report what you do and the chieved results
Remember that the output level if the supply is at 9v, will be a low voltage, I was thinking to increase it for the Dr Boogie to 18v or more (if I recognize that the signal is too low)

Just cut the URL for the source for the kit or blank PCB
