Does a standard chassis (http://i.ebayimg.com/00/s/NjU2WDE1NDM=/z/pdkAAOSwDNdVnWqL/$_1.JPG?set_id=880000500F) give a better noise isolation than a U-shaped one (https://store.donanimhaber.com/f1/63/4a/f1634ae0df23acd03c2a1b1352ee122f.jpg)

Yes. No. Maybe so. Probably not. :icon_biggrin:

+1
although I have been using standard chassis with bottom plate and copper lining them and it does help with "outside" noise

Ok I got another question :icon_biggrin:
After a few months of deliberation I'm about to build a 6G15, I ruled out the added tremolo. Sluckey, there's a big chance I will use the 6G15 part of your Revibe layout.
I built a surfy bear reverb a couple of years ago; it's a FET emulation of the 6G15 with a tank that I housed in standard sized Fender reverb. I'm questionning wether I should reuse the chassis & cab or not.
The problem is, as you can see, I mounted the chassis backwards, with the open side facing the reverb tank. Should it be a concern ?

Easier said than done. There will be quite a bit of work to modify my board for a 6G15 circuit. I recommend you use Hoffman's layout or the original. But if you are up to the task I'd love to see your modified layout.

it will be not very difficult to build a metal cover for the open side of the chassis
