Well hell, Server didn't like me so I'll start over.
Been wanting to build one of these for a while and I had all the parts on hand except for the cake pan. :icon_biggrin:
I really like sluckey's layout and board, but didn't really need to make it as compact as what he did. I ordered an 6.5X17X2.5 chassis and started punching holes.

sluckey's board layout and the way I swag the turrets.
See anything missing? :dontknow:

This whole process was done over the last weekend, started Friday afternoon till Monday night and this is where I am right now. with the extra room I went ahead and put in a standby switch. After I get the basic amp up and running I'll have a few mods that I will want to put on switches. Not sure about the Hoffman Hot Switch mod yet.
I like to get the chassis basically to this point before I start loading and wiring up the board.
I'll post more as I get it done. Hope to have it running by the end of the day Saturday. I have not even started on a cabinet yet for it.

Lookin' good.

Board loaded no solder.
Sicker than a dog, spring time head cold. :sad2:

beautiful. I love the satisfaction of layout and drilling up my own chassis!

Don't want any extra holes from a prepunched chassis if I'm doing the build different than the original or it's a one of build. Got really excited a while back because a wholesale house got some JTM45 chassis and face plates in, CHEAP. I ordered two and none of my transformers fit ....... correct ones. Come to find out, when I ask, they could not confirm that any of there transformers fit. So they went back.
I have done a lot of my own schematics and layouts on the boards in the past, but there are a lot of good layouts so why reinvent the wheel. Especially if you can copy one of sluckeys layouts, it's built, running and you know it's quality.

I am discerning. That stuff cost $8.99 for a 12 pack of bottles at WalMart! :l2:

Steve if i remember correctly you're on a fixed income. :l3:
This thing sounds pretty good. 430 on the plates of EH 6V6 with a 5U4.
Done for the night, going to see if I can get to the office for a while tomorrow.

Must be time for a safety stand down meeting. Or some more sensitivity training.
My new employer (OPM) doesn't participate in that stuff.

Hey BL... How is that bias pot attached?
-
ShoeGoo. Used it for bias pots and position wire. Works good on tennis shoes too. :l2:
