But my legal name is James Eldred Barnhart. On this day, 6/8/2017, I am 68 years old. Played guitar since I was 15. Played in a band when I was in my 20's. Didn't we all?? I was a computer Programmer 20 years before I retired. Much better at programming than guitar. Was also a Postmaster for 10 years: the culmination of 20 years working for the Post Office.
I built 2 of Hoffmans bias checkers and I've modded my custom vibrolux reverb amp because the reverb was dull and the amp in general sounded less than I expected. I had a Twin Reverb in 1968 but sold it when I went off to college. It was too loud anyway. I built a teardrop shaped 12-string that summer with the help of Richard C Allen. I SHOULD HAVE apprenticed myself to him if he would have me but it just played out for him to help with my build.
I got back to this site looking for information on Dumbles. Now that I've been back about a month, I've got 'build an amp' fever which is good because a month ago I had 'new car' fever. An amp is a lot cheaper!!
That's a lot more than you wanted but that's me in a nutshell.
