Hey all. So I've had a little break and I'm looking at a new project. A friend has asked me to do a Bell and Howell Filmosound 385 conversion for him. Luckily there's stuff all over about these jobs and even an Uncle Doug video series. So it seems fairly straightforward. I'd like to try and build in the trem that Doug used as well.
I'm wondering if any of you all have done these jobs and if you have any tips. I'll take whatever ya got!
Also, this being the first build that's a mod/service deal I know I'll need parts. I just wanted to know what you guys try to keep on hand in your inventory. I'll need some electrolytic likely as I may not have all the right values on hand but fairly ok after that. Or so I think. I'm wondering how you guys approach your stash?
Also I buy pretty much everything from Hoffman but I'm generally also buying the "good stuff" . What kind of electrolytic she do you keep on hand and where do you source them?
Thanks.
